All you need is a sketch book and a lot of talent

in

This is a blog I come back to again and again. I like to paint and sketch and am always impressed by the huge  chasm between people who dabble and people with talent permeating  from every pour.  With just a small sketch book and a few tools this guy captures, light, atmosphere and texture. Check out his blog here http://nathanfowkes-sketch.blogspot.com/ and his main work blog at http://nathanfowkes.blogspot.com/

An iPod of the future?

in

Created by designer Gopinath Prasana, the iBangle is a vision of how the iPod can be used in the future. It consists of a thin piece of aluminum with a touch track pad. If your confused as to its size, a cushion inside the ring inflates to keep itself close up against your wrist. Maybe more popular amongst feminine iPod users, but an innovative creation never the less.

Stop motion animation

in

Stop motion is an animation technique which can make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own.

The object is moved by small amounts between individually photographed frames, creating an illusion of movement when the series of frames are played as a continuous sequence.

Clay figures are often used in stop motion animations, known as claymation, for their ease of repositioning. One of the most notable uses of stop motion on TV and film is Wallace & Gromit.

A common question for a newcomer to CMS is whether they should choose Drupal or Joomla. I was advised that despite it initially being the more complicated of the two, to learn Drupal due to what can be achieved. Here's some reasons why i think i made the right choice.

The Blackbird Fly camera

in

The Blackbird Fly camera from Japan’s Superheadz is a Rolleiflex look-a-like. The camera shoots square images on 35mm film. This is a cool alternative to the other popular retro cameras such as the Holga and Horizon.

Tilt-Shift Photography

in

Whilst reading through Smashing Magazine, a weblog dedicated to web-developers and designers, i came across numerous great examples of Tilt-shift photography. Tilt-shift photography is a style of photography where the camera is manipulated to give an illusion of looking down at a miniature model. When i first saw these photos it took me a while to believe they are infact real.

An amazing blog site by a relentless artist http://www.processjunkie.blogspot.com/

in

just recently I was trawling over the web as I do from time to time. One thing I love doing is putting random words into google and see what google images finds. There is always something eye catching and exciting. This recent foray produced pure gold (see http://www.processjunkie.blogspot.com/). It shows how a driven individual can produce amazing artwork and keep his fans up to date on a daily basis
